Who we are

What data we collect
We only process data needed to run the service:
- Account data: email, name, date of birth, and profile information
- Photos and bio you upload yourself
- Personality answers and AI analyses you generate
- Likes, matches, messages, and chat history
- Discovery preferences (age, distance, gender)
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and session cookies for login
How we use your data
We use your data only to operate and secure MatchFindr:
- Show profiles and calculate matches
- Enable chat and notifications
- Prevent abuse, spam, and fake profiles
- Process voluntary donations (only if you choose to donate)
- Improve the app and fix technical issues
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process data based on performance of our service (using your account), your consent (e.g. optional analyses), and our legitimate interest (safety and fraud prevention).
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your data. We only share what is necessary with trusted processors that help us run the service, such as hosting, email, and payment processing for voluntary donations.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize profile data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain data by law or for safety and disputes.
